The North Shore is Minnesota's favorite getaway, a wild, lightly populated band of woodlands rising to a ridge parallel Lake Superior. How do you begin to explore this area? At the fabulous state parks!

And Grand Superior Lodge neighbors four state parks, Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, Tettegouche and George H. Crosby Manitou. Each park showcases some of the best shoreline, rivers, forests, cliffs and historical landmarks of the area.

And they are incredibly accessible. Stop by to stretch your legs and you can cross a footbridge over a river, spend an hour and you can explore Lake Superior's shoreline or hike to a gorge, spend half a day and you snowshoe or ski or attend a naturalist program.
