Grand Superior Lodge is a dog-lovers adventure resort paradise located just minutes away from some of the top-rated National & State Parks in Minnesota. Gooseberry Falls State Park, Tettegouche State Park, and Split Rock Lighthouse State Park to name a few. You and your pooch will experience spectacular scenery during your adventures including roaring rivers and waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and cobblestone beaches, and don’t forget the Northwoods of the boreal forest just inland from the big lake (we recommend sections of the SHT – Superior Hiking Trail). In fact, there are so many nearby trails and attractions you could spend years exploring without ever seeing the same one twice. We recommend that you try and explore them all!
At Grand Superior Lodge, we know you love your dogs and it just wouldn’t be a vacation without them.
Local Tip: Stop at Castle Danger Brewery post-hike for a beer on their massive dog-friendly patio overlooking the harbor.

Pet Policy
- Cost: A $50 cost will be added to your room for 1-dog and a $70 cost will be added for 2-dogs during your stay. Maximum of 2-dogs allowed for each rental unit.
- Availability: Not all room types are dog-friendly. Availability must be confirmed at time of reservation by phone.
- Policies: Dogs brought into non-pet rooms will result in a minimum charge of $250+tax for the infraction of the policy.
- No iguanas (or other pets): Our pet policy is limited to dogs, and any other animals brought into a pet or non-pet unit will be subject to a minimum penalty charge of $250+tax.
- Dogs will be attended at all times and cannot be left unattended in a cabin or on the resort property.
- Dog owners will clean up after their pets.
- Dog owners will be responsible for any pet activity or noise which interferes with our other guests.
- Allergies: Please let us know if you are allergic to pets and we will ensure your stay is in a non-pet friendly suite (based on availability).
- Damages: Any damages incurred will be charged accordingly.
